Researcher Dariusz Leszczynski was in the process of doing research on health effects caused by cell phone radiation, when he was told his funding was being withdrawn. His funding was coming from the Finnish organization Tekes, which obtains about 30 percent of its funding for the cell phone research from the telecom industry.
According to Leszczynski:
“When we found that cell phone [radiation] affects the human body, the funding stopped because cell phone manufacturers Nokia and Teliasonnera said they don’t like it. The scientific advisory board has industry partners as members. If industry partners don’t like a particular… Continue reading
For those who may still be skeptical about whether WiFi dangers exist, this is a great compilation of scientific studies on the subject—many thanks to the stopsmartmeters.org folks in the UK. VF, Editor
Here is a collection of scientific papers finding adverse biological effects or damage to health from Wi-Fi signals, Wi-Fi-enabled devices or Wi-Fi frequencies (2.4 or 5 GHz), complied by campaign group WiFi In Schools. The papers listed are only those where exposures were 16V/m or below. Someone using a Wi-Fi-enabled tablet computer can be exposed to electromagnetic fields up to… Continue reading
A new review of studies on cell phone radiation health risks has been published by L. Lloyd Morgan, senior science fellow at Environmental Health Trust, in the Journal of Microscopy and Ultrastructure. The review highlights findings on radiation effects on children and unborn babies.
In reviewing peer-reviewed cell phone exposure studies from 2009 to 2014, along with cell phone radiation data, government documents, manufacturers’ manuals, and similar publications, the authors found that children face a higher health risk than adults.
Highlights of the Review
- Children absorb more electromagnetic radiation (EMR) than adults.
- EMR is a Class 2B (possible) carcinogen.… Continue reading
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have updated the “Frequently Asked Questions” about cell phone radiation and health on their website. They now assert that “Along with many organizations worldwide, we recommend caution in cell phone use.”
The CDC’s recommendations are rather mild considering the vast amount of independent, peer-reviewed research linking many health risks to cell phone radiation, and also considering steps already taken by a number of other countries in the world to reduce cell phone health risks. However, they do represent a step forward in the US government’s position regarding cell… Continue reading
A new investigative documentary called Mobilize—the first feature-length film to examine the potential long-term harmful effects of cell phone radiation—will be opening soon at selected theaters in California. The film examines the most recent scientific research, outlines national legislative efforts, and reveals the influence technology companies have on public health.
Filmmaker Kevin Kunze started creating the film as a student and has paid the production costs himself, and this is evidently apparent in the quality of the film production. And yet the information given by professors and researchers about the harmful effects of cell phone radiation on… Continue reading
If you’re feeling chronically exhausted and you also spend a lot of time on your cell phone, you may want to consider the possibility that these two things are connected.
It may come as a surprise to hear that radiation from cell phones can cause exhaustion—but it’s one of the many symptoms that increasing numbers of people are feeling these days since cell phones have become an essential part of their lives.
It’s not surprising really, when you think of what researchers have found—that wireless radiation impacts the nervous system, keeping it constantly on the alert. It also affects the… Continue reading
Berkeley may be the first city in the US to pass legislation stating that stickers must be attached to cell phone packaging, warning people that the devices may emit cancer-causing radiation. The proposal for this ordinance has been co-sponsored by City Councilman Max Anderson, who states he believes that cell phone radiation poses a risk and that the public has a right to information that is credible and understandable.
Similar efforts to pass such a law occurred in San Francisco in 2010, but they ended two years later through a federal court defeat, in which the court ruled that… Continue reading
Concerned about WiFi radiation health risks? You have reason to be. WiFi uses hazardous RF radiation to send its signals through walls. If you have WiFi, you are receiving massive amounts of RF radiation that may be causing you and your family health problems.
WiFi Radiation Health Risks
Scientists & Organizations Cautioning about Radiation Health Risks
One prolific researcher of WiFi radiation, Dr. Magda Havas, Professor of Environmental & Resource Studies, Trent University, ON, Canada, states:
“The scientific evidence clearly shows… Continue reading
Despite what the telecom industry may want us to believe, if we do the research, we find there is now an overwhelming abundance of independent, peer-reviewed studies telling us that cell phone radiation is dangerous for our health. The research links cell phone radiation with many different disorders and diseases.
Cell Phones & Cancer
Researchers of the 2012 Bioinitiative Report agree that approximately ten years of cell phone use may lead to tumors. In particular, there are significant studies that directly correlate RF radiation from cell phones with brain tumors.
Studies report that:
- The chance of developing a brain… Continue reading
A new study on wireless radiation dangers was recently released by the BioInitiative Working Group, a research group that previously published a report in 2007 with an update in 2012. They have now released a further update covering scientific studies conducted since 2012.
It doesn’t look good: They report that health risks from wireless devices are growing ever stronger and require immediate action.
A particular concern is with the use of mobile phones, especially in regard to malignant brain tumors. Lennart Hardell from Orebro University, Sweden states:
“There is a consistent pattern of increased risk for glioma [a malignant brain… Continue reading
It’s highly ironic, but your laptop is dangerous on your lap. Researchers are warning laptop companies that they need to change the name of the product to protect users’ health.
Like holding a cell phone too close to your head, holding a laptop so close to your body means the radiation flows directly into your body—and into some of your most vital organs. And if you’re pregnant, of course, the dangers are even worse.
Searching for a phone with low SAR ratings sounds like the smart, responsible and educated thing to do—right?
You’re making yourself as safe as possible, based on the common wisdom that the cautious thing to do around cell phone radiation is using a phone with the lowest SAR.
It’s understandable that you’d believe this. At one point, the FCC came out with regulations that required mobile phone manufacturers to indicate the SAR level of their phones on the package so customers could base their purchase on this information.
And, since you understand that cell phone radiation is hazardous and… Continue reading
The risks of cell phone radiation have been known by scientists since the early years of mobile phone production, but consumers are still largely unaware of the risks associated with frequent cell phone radiation exposure. Headaches, concentration difficulties and even brain tumors have been linked to mobile phone usage, posing a particular threat to children and pregnant women, but most people don’t realize this.
Hawaiian senator (and professional physician) Josh Green is looking to change that by introducing new legislature to make the potential risks of cell phone use more visible. If the law passes, mobile phone manufacturers will be… Continue reading
On March 11, 2014, a bill regarding cell phone radiation, known as the “The Wireless Information Act”, was passed by the Maine House of Representatives.
Similar to laws now requiring that cigarette packages bear warnings about lung cancer, the bill requires that prominent warnings about the dangers of cell phone radiation be plainly visible on packaging of cell phones sold retail in the state.
Sponsored by Rep. Andrea Boland, the bill (originally called “The Children’s Wireless Protection Act”) calls for manufacturers to state a recommendation that buyers—and especially children and pregnant women—keep cell phones away from their heads and… Continue reading

For most people, a good laptop is an essential part of living in an increasingly mobile (and constantly switched-on) world. But it’s not often that we stop and consider what we’re actually doing when using a laptop for its designed purpose; that is, placing a large electronic device that emits heat and electromagnetic radiation directly over your crotch area.
When put bluntly like this it sounds like a radical practice, but this is what many of us actually do with the aptly-named device (and often on a daily basis.) But how much danger does such a ubiquitous… Continue reading

It would be hard to deny that the modern world has been improved by an increased access to communication technology. Even in some of the poorest parts of our planet, mobile phones are quickly being seen as a basic commodity rather than a luxury; and everyday, portable access to the Internet has literally undermined and toppled dictatorships (as seen in the Arab Spring over the last couple of years).
For the rest of us, it’s already becoming hard to remember a time in which we didn’t have constant access to information and news, as well as the… Continue reading
It’s taken a while, but the information is finally out—smart meter radiation dangers are real. The companies installing them aren’t admitting this yet, but no matter. Independent research has found numerous links between smart meter radiation and serious health consequences.
And there’s an overwhelming number of people across the US who’ve corroborated what this research has found. They’re reporting numerous health symptoms since they’ve had a smart meter installed in their home.
A few of the most common complaints include:
- sleep disturbances
- digestive problems
Some of us, in our… Continue reading

There’s no getting around it. We are immersed in a sea of WiFi radiation wherever we go these days.
Even if you’re one of the very few today who doesn’t have WiFi in your home, you can’t avoid the electromagnetic pollution caused by WiFi when almost anywhere else outside your home.
But perhaps you’ve dismissed warnings you’ve heard about WiFi radiation dangers, because you’ve also heard that certain “experts” say there really aren’t any.
Research on Electromagnetic Pollution Dangers
Unfortunately, if you dig deeply enough into the research telling you WiFi radiation is not harmful to your health, you’ll find… Continue reading
If you’ve been suffering from health symptoms since you had a smart meter attached to your home and others are telling you it’s just your imagination—take heart: there is clear evidence stating that smart meter dangers are real.
Evidence of Smart Meter Dangers
The conclusions of independent research are that safety standards of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are woefully insufficient for guarding people against smart meter radiation levels—and that some installations of smart meters don’t even comply with those inadequate standards.
To begin with, FCC standards, set back in… Continue reading
